Robert E. Edwards, Owner & Chief Investigator, is a former Chief of Police & Fire Chief with extensive background in investigations and security matters. Mr. Edwards entered the private sector in 1980 as a private investigator, business consultant and security consultant.

He holds a BA Degree in Business Administration from Southampton College of Long Island University and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.

Mr. Edwards served some 15 years on the Vermont Board of Investigative and Security Services, eight of which as Chair. 

Mr. Edwards is also the owner and founder of The Vermont Academy of Investigative & Security Services Training -a Division of RE. Edwards & Associates.

The Academy was developed in response to the legislation requiring "no less than 40 hours basic training" for anyone wishing to be licensed as a private investigator or security guard in the State of Vermont.  The Academy will be offering
classes to meet these new requirements at the client's location or our own facilities.
